Summer Camp 2024
Welcome to the 2024 Summer Art Program at Active Expressions Art Academy! We are thrilled to invite your child to a creative and engaging three-day art journey beginning Monday, June 17th. Below you will find all the essential information for registration and an overview of what the program entails.
Program Details
- Dates: Monday, June 17, 2024, to Wednesday, June 19, 2024
- Time: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM daily
- Location: Active Expressions Art Academy, 2040 South Church Street Ext, Spartanburg, South Carolina 29306
- Age Group: Suitable for children ages 6-12
Program Schedule
Day 1: Introduction to Art and Basic Techniques
- Icebreaker activities to foster creativity and collaboration.
- An introduction to different art materials and tools.
- Hands-on session focusing on drawing and painting basics.
Day 2: Exploring Creativity
- Interactive lesson on color theory and texture.
- Group projects to apply new skills in a fun and collaborative environment.
- Personal art time to start on showcase pieces.
Day 3: Finalizing Art Pieces
- Completion of individual art projects for the showcase.
- Group reflection to discuss the creative process and learnings.
Art Showcase
Date: Thursday, June 20, 2024
- Time: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
- Location: Active Expressions Art Academy
- This special event is an opportunity for students to display their artwork. Family and friends are invited to celebrate the creativity and hard work of our young artists.
Registration Information
Summer Camp 2024
- Registration Deadline: Friday, June 7, 2024
- Fee: $150 per participant (includes all art materials and snacks)
- How to Register: Please complete the attached registration form and submit it along with the fee to the academy office or via our online portal.
Scholarship Information
ACTIVE EXPRESSIONS ART ACADEMY Youth Art Program
- Available Scholarships: 10
- Eligibility: Open to low-income families who require financial assistance.
- Application Process: Interested families must complete the scholarship application form, including a brief need statement.
- Deadline for Scholarship Applications: Monday, June 3, 2024
- Notification: Recipients will be notified by Friday, June 7, 2024.
